This morning my first visit was to the bank to check out the cards. Turns out they were locked due to some possible fraud. In shock I came home to call the number I was given, but of course the phone wouldn't open.. so I tried to solve it on the pc and of course they couldn't do that, had to personally call the credit card company. Was suggested that I go back to the bank and see if I could use their phone. That worked and my cards were unlocked.
From there I went to the Target store as that is where Consumer Cellular help is available. The young man in the store opened my phone almost on the first try.. WHAT? I made him stand their and watch as I tried to open it, and after him doing it a couple times and me failing a lot of times, I finally got it. HMMM he said it could have something to do with the packing tape I put over the cracked screen.. hahahahaha DOH
While I was on that side of town, and hadn't been able to call Dr. Axley's office, I went there in person to get a new script for my medications. His nurse says "You haven't been in for a while" then looked and ooops, I missed anoil appt in March! It was right after my fall in Tallahasse so DOH. Doc was available so I got to see him while I was there.. that was a good thing. He was amazed that I had lost another 4 pounds and thrilled about my job at the stadium. And my BP was perfect, even with the stress I'd been going through all day. Love that guy. Got my written script and headed for the base pharmacy.
Shortly after leaving the doc's I first stopped at Whataburger as I hadn't eaten anything yet and it was around 1 pm. Went on my way, got a couple blocks and the fuel light came on! Sheeesh. The next available gas station was Shell!! I do not use Shell gas ever since the oil spills, just me I guess. Anyway, thank God the debit card did work and I was able to get gas. And when I got to the base I noticed their gas was the same price so I felt good about that, not that it was $2.739 a gallon.
When I was getting my script filled I was told that their machines were down all day yesterday and they were doubly busy today. It doesn't bother me. I figure since I'm getting this stuff for FREE I have no reason or right to complain about a wait eh?
I had nibbled on my sandwich on the way and while waiting for my number to be called I was sure I was going to have a major accident but so far so good. Made it home okay.
So here I am, my debit and credit cards are okay. I can open my phone if I'm patient and my tummy is full, as are the babies as I brought them some fries! All is well in the world.
