First let me say I'm FINE!
However, when we were unloading luggage at the hotel Friday evening, I hung my large bag on my shoulder and the weight of it pulled me back and I fell. Luckily the bag full of clothes and stuff broke my fall, I sat on it, and I didn't hit the pavement. Also I was able to keep from hitting my head I guess by grabbing the car.
I knew I was unhurt at once. The problem now was getting up. Because of my titanium knees, I am unable to kneel without excruciating pain. When I was struggling to get my right foot under me I didn't realize I was putting a lot of pressure on my left knee... wow did it hurt! Anyway, it took 3 or 4 women to assist my struggles until dear tiny Barbara grabbed hold of my britches and pulled me up! She's amazing!
By this time I knew I had really hurt my knee and would have to ice it to avoid swelling a bruising. The ice worked great, even though it's still 'touchy' I never got an outside bruise. Probably is inside where the metal pressed on the flesh.
Anyway, this morning I find a few more aches around. Besides the cut on my thumb, my right shoulder and arm aches. So I must have used that side to attempt to stop the fall as the bag was on my left shoulder.
I am so grateful to God that I didn't fall directly on the pavement as I'm sure I would have been seriously injured.
After all the walking I had to do yesterday after falling, I woke up rather stiff all over and a tad sore too. But I wake up every morning rather stiff so how the heck can you tell if you are injured? LOL
And when I got up this am it was barely 60 degrees in here. I put on sweats and tried to keep from turning on the heat but just couldn't resist I had such chills. Figured the heat was off 2 days I can afford to spoil myself so I can stop shivering.
So grateful to God for so many beautiful, loving women to bless my life! I am so so blessed.
