I am so grateful this Thanksgiving Day for the many blessings in my life, especially for the amazing, loving, critters that always bring me joy.
Yesterday I had to let my beloved best friend Tequila go to the Rainbow Bridge. It was past time. I showed the vet the lump on his leg and he agreed it was cancer! I just couldn't let my little man suffer anymore, no matter how badly I need him in my life. This act of love was the most difficult thing I think I've ever done. But my beautiful blonde huggy boy no longer had any quality of life. He was ready to go and he let me know it yesterday morning. We had talked about it for a long time. He knew that his daddy and bestie, Renniew, were waiting for him at the Rainbow Bridge. I know he's happy, feeling young and playful again with Renniew. But I miss him desperately. Yesterday I only felt lost and sad. I hope he remembered to tell his daddy and Renniew that I love them and miss them all...

For about a year now I have been struggling with keeping my dearest friend Tequila with me. My little crooked guy is so brave and courageous. He struggles with incontinence, as do I, and his legs not working as he wants them to. He gets confused, I can see it on his little face, but he still wants to love his mommy.
