I saw a picture of myself from the back! OMG I have back boobs just like those women in WalMart that I don't think well of. A real wake up call for me! I don't 'feel' as fat as I am and that is my problem. I truly need to lose and do it
Home from errands and ran in and out of rain all the way. God blessed me that it wasn't raining on my way into and out of the stores. Don't think I'll make the pool today. The game might even be washed out, not sure yet. Getting on the elliptical for at least
Good workout today! I had to go back as I woke up kinda sore from yesterday. I really felt good today and the first 10 laps I was jogging! Which set me up for 20 laps of extended walking as I could not keep up the jogging. It was very aerobic. I finished up with some squats then leg and arm work.
Off to the pool. Beautiful sunshine day! I hope the pool is okay because I'm really psyched! I know next week as long as the weather stays warm I'll be back more... maybe that will help me get back to the gym also...
Not sure what it will take to get me going. I have so many wonderful reasons to not eat right or exercise! But no good excuses.. I keep waiting for something to happen so I can run out and buy the GOOD groceries, or any groceries for that matter. Waiting for the weather to change so I can get back in the pool..... but the gym is not much farther and is free..
What the heck am I waiting for? A miracle?? God please help me get started on this I do really want to lose weight and get healthier. I came to my site today to 'catch up' and when I got to this page it was blank! Hmmmm I guess when you are not doing what you had planned to do, what you had hoped to do, it leaves a blank space...
The summer is more than half over and I made little to no progress on my 'health program.' I haven't been going to the pool every day, rarely these past couple weeks. I did go at least 5 days a week for a couple weeks. Oh there are many excuses, even some reasons. The weather for sure. Rain and lightning abounded for weeks. Now the rain is scattered and sparse but the heat and humidity... well it IS August in Florida! But should not keep me from the pool. I did drag the elliptical out of the back room and did get on it a couple times.... should be using it daily! I have the equipment, I have written exercises from physical therapy for my back pain, etc. So why?? Using my age is not an excuse! But as I find myself getting older, and fatter, I find it much harder to motivate myself to actually DO what I dream of. Last year I took the stairs at the ballpark and by the end of the season my legs were doing good. That and jogging in the pool made a huge difference!! This season the elevator was too handy. Eating right is another thing. Hard to do when the food at the ballpark is sooo delicious! When the checkbook is bare and the larder is even more bare. Not to mention I find myself looking for something easy and quick, not really wanting to cook and certainly not wanting to turn on the oven. YIKES!! And then there is the fact that fast food is getting so much cheaper and easier than cooking.... I have been staying away from the 'white' stuff, mostly. Eating more veggies and fruit too.. My good intentions for the summer have been left by the wayside. But wait! Summer is only half over! Can I turn this around? It is a new day, a new week so maybe I can...... God help me I will try to get on track... but to do that I need to get away from the net! |
I'm back!
Been away for a while dealing with a lot of stuff, not the least has been chronic sciatia! Which, of course has kept me from doing ANY exercise, even just walking around the house. Not sure when I posted the below... At one point I lost nearly 50 pounds! Have gained a few back but still working at it. Turns out Ridlin works.... along with surgery! lol I'm an old, fat lady who needs to get off her butt and move....
Eating less isn't enough and trying to eat right doesn't work. Archives
