be the kind of person that YOU can love......... then love yourself unconditionally so that when Jesus says "love one another as you love yourself" you will love them the same!!!
So many people only appreciate the pilots! But there is a whole TEAM behind them, keeping them safe and going... this makes me so proud! I LOVE my Blues and pray for them and the safety of the pilots every day!! When Oscar brought me to P'Cola and the Blues?? Heaven!
I have GOT to get out of here!! Must drive through the bank on my way to the pool... Feeling better today, yesterday not so good and not knowing why. I'm expecting to have a good workout! Many blessings on the way.. still figuring out my finances for the month and might be able to do a small shopping, very small only necessities, today. Am determined NOT to keep spending next months money this month! lol I have an AM EX card that needs to be payed in full each month, so I use it to borrow from my next month.... This has GOT to get better!!
Have a fantastic day and keep looking for those blessings..........
OH MY GOD!!! Life is GOOD! I am soooooo blessed!! I realized today that we are nearing the middle of summer.. YIKES! Only 5 more home stands of baseball! And probably less than 3 mos more of pool time! SO! I pushed myself to do 50, count them '50', laps and did it in less than 45 minutes! Prolly 42. Granted the last 10 were not as fast as the first 10 but heck, I did it!! On each lap I'm Praising God for the physical ability to do this! For the blessing of my friends pool to give me the opportunity! Praying for my friends and family.... that's why sometimes I think I do more than I count because I'm praying so much I lose count! LOL I feel so STRONG and POWERFUL in that pool, and I AM! When I say pushing myself, I really push against the water both in my jogging, my am work and my leg raises and squats! If you don't use the resistance of the water it isn't as good a workout! Not sure how many weeks now, but to go from 30 to 50 is good and I am very proud of myself!
Came home and changed out laundry and while I was back there I got on the scale! Now I don't want to eat ever again! LOL I had left it where I was, at 263, and had to take it down to 259 1/2!!! That means I have every reason to believe that I will make my first goal of being below 250!! That would give me a total of 24 pounds loss since Jan, granted going up and down a lot! My next goal after that would be 225!
It's not unreasonable!
Doing the stairs at the stadium is getting easier also, except for the hip. Without the pool I doubt I could even make them...
Everyone says I look good, even bald! lol I know I feel fantastic! And if/when I get more help on the right hip I will be even better. The hip doesn't even come into play in the pool. And until I sit too long, especially on this awful couch, it won't hurt much. I know my lower back is doing much better too... as is my blood sugar count!
So, I am determined to keep this up as much as I can. When I see the doc, well PA, on Thursday I will get a release for the gym again and get started there so the days I am not able to use the pool, weather or whatever, I can work out in the gym. I LIKE feeling good!
What an amazing day!! After an awesome workout in the pool, I am home to watch a double header between the Cubs and Reds, my two favorite NL teams!! I have to admit I love watching Billy Hamilton and might get a peek at Tucker Barnhardt too!! So when the Reds win it doesn't break my heart. I will still always love the Cubbies!
The Oscar that I knew and loved was not the same man when he died as he was before I met him! He had a most beautiful heart and soul....... I know God was happy to see him...
I have two major pet peeves for folks singing the anthem at the stadium! One, they seem to drag a 2 minute piece of music into 15 minutes!! and two, if they were thinking about the words they were singing, they wouldn't get the words wrong........ eh?
I finally broke down and ate something. In my One Harvest box 2 months ago I got a dozen 1/4 pound ground chuck burgers. I fired up my George Foreman grill and cooked 3 of them along with 4 half ears of corn I got in June... That was the best burger!! So lean there was very little fat on the grill.. I had it turned down on med to low and put the meat and corn on frozen... and just let it go! Was very good... And now I have 2 more meals for later!! WOO HOO!!
One very pathetic dog bathed with oatmeal shampoo in hopes it helps his skin!! I must admit I haven't completely stopped the people food, but very very little... I cannot do it!! Hoping to find the energy left, after I get the bed made with clean bedding, to shampoo the other one. She's much harder to do! Heavier, bigger, more squirmy, etc. I cannot get any wetter right now! lol Pray I can get him to the vet soon... maybe next month? I HAVE to get tags for my car asap if I can find the money. not enough for both I'm afraid!
Okay bed made and other dog bathed! ears flushed on both, teeth only on Renniew and that was only haphazard! She needs them done right but I'm afraid as 2 people have lost their dogs having the vets clean their teeth! I didn't have the heart to do his! Next time... his aren't as bad anyway. Now I'm really wet! and tired! and smell like a wet dog covered in oatmeal! lol
OH MY Whatta day!! Got a lot done, great workout, etc. AND got 3 phone calls too. One each from my granddaughters who are each going through so much medically and emotionally.... do so wish I could help them more.
My dearest friend Debra Tucker called me back and she is recovering well from her major stroke! Her therapist now says that Deb should be able to live with her son soon... now to get him to agree! Her mother was recently diagnosed with cancer! So moving in with parents is not an option and living on her own isn't either. But if Mark can make room for her it would be the best even though he's not always home.
What a JOY to hear that my prayers are being answered! It gave me so much hope for my other friends who are suffering and battling cancer and other problems.
I'm recording the Cubs/Reds game and can watch the rest of it later... Cubs are ahead tonight 5 to 0!! WOW! Got to see my dear Carlos Contrares pitch and now he's at bat!! Tucker Barnhardt is playing also! So proud of these guys for making the Majors and doing so well.....
Well, I cannot seem to keep my eyes open or my mouth shut , yawning so much, so I'm headed for bed.
