I do not believe that God will do me favors! I KNOW that God will shower me with blessings. Just like He is showering my little garden with the rain of life! This is a blessing to not have to use my water to refresh the garden!
However, this Friday the 13th might turn out to be a bad thing anyway if it keeps me from the ballgame tonight!
Major storms coming from the west... thunder is telling me "NO POOL" today! darn! I had hoped to get in there early today because we are supposed to go to Mobile on buses today for the game tonight!
Other than that.... good morning! Rain or not it's always a beautiful day in Paradise! Other than the pool I have no where to go this morning and hoping to get some stuff done in here! I'm really pushing myself in the pool. Then I come home and get on the pc and/or watch tv and when I stand up I can barely walk! LOL But it is all worth it. I am sleeping better and do feel better, even if the hip pain is still there.
Yesterday was beautiful and sunny and I did get a little more sun, which I like. Not a fan of looking like a ghost. But I like to take it in stages. Like losing weight, I'm not in a hurry... as long as I see results!
Had hoped to still be able to hit the pool, hadn't heard thunder in hours....... and then the rains came... lightening and thunder and all... now a downpour and lightning right over the house! So no pool and if this doesn't stop by this afternoon, maybe no baseball either! YIKES!!
Hot Air Balloon Festival is this weekend in Foley.......... I'm sure this rain is going to hamper it. That is sad. Oscar and I went one year and it was amazing to see all those balloons going up.. They go up early in the morning and later in the evening. Awesome to watch. I'm praying that the storms get the heck out of town by tonight!
Last night I went to bed and was listening to the Wahoos ballgame in Mobile. Once again Mobile took advantage in the 4th inning and got 4 runs (is that a sign?) to increase to 6, holding the Wahoos to their 3 for the rest of the game. That's 2 games inero the Bay Bears took the lead in the 4th and hung on. As Tommy Thrallsaid on the radio, the Wahoos looked 'confused' as to what the heck was going on. Wed it was a one inning pitching slump, last night it was an error that started the bleeding. I was lying there praying so hard for them to turn it around but by 9:30 I was so sleepy I had to shut it off... still praying for a win! But alas it was not to happen.
Not sure what will happen tonight. The rain could stop in time for them to play or our trip could be washed out... waaaaaaaa!
Praying that Christian Garmen, our local weatherman, will make it better.... lol
43 % chance of rain until sunset then 25%!! So if we can only hold out until sunset! lol the radar shows an awful lot of rain in the Gulf headed our way!
it appears to be clearing up!!! Could we be so blessed??
As I'm sure you have figured out, I watch a lot of recorded tv while sitting here on the sofa and being on the laptop. Today it was a rerun of Undercover Boss. I truly feel sad for people who do not watch these so called 'reality' shows that give employers, and others, the opportunity to make a huge difference in someone's life! Oh, sure, I sometimes wish it could happen to me... I enter Ellen's contests but know I'll never win, but just knowing that other well deserving people who also are living with hardships and struggles are being helped.. and that others are given the chance to do exactly what God tells them to do....... to help others! And more than wishing to be the one receiving the blessing of a new direction in life? I would so much more want to be the one giving out those opportunities!! I can only imagine how fulfilling my life would be if I had the ability to make positive changes in the lives of others.
My life is FULL of blessings and when I can I share them with others and mostly let everyone know how good our God is. I cannot complain at all. Even the disappointments in my life, the struggles I go through, seem so minimal when I realize the many blessings I have... and I can say this with a full stomach, which wasn't true just a month ago!
I know that we post a lot of 'funny' stuff on here. But the best ones are real life no? I was watching the birdies trying to get seed out of an empty feeder so I went out to fill it figuring it was around noon, no one would be out to see me in my gown! LOL just as I bent over, butt toward the house thank God, and was filling the feeder the garbage truck came up and stopped in front of my house to empty my trash! HAHA! So I stood up and waved to the nice man driving the truck! Thank God they don't have guys hanging off the back anymore......... So I figured I was already outside in my gown and was checking my little garden and noticed 2 more tomatoes nearly ripe! And a bunch of lettuce that needed to be cut. This is what I have gotten from my garden in the past 2 days... and will use the peppers in spaghetti sauce tomorrow.. I am so truly blessed.........
