WOW!! When I opened my Bible to read the passages for the study today I knew I had to share... I won't be sharing my studies every day, but today was so significant and so current I find I need to do so.
"We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Each of us should please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. For even Christ did not please himself but, as it is written: 'The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.' For everything that was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Accept one another, then, just as Christ has accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. " Romans 15:1-7 (NIV)
My prayer today was first for those of my friends who are in great need of a healing for one reason or another. Second for God to be with me in this new venture and help me succeed. Third, and not the least, for God to touch the fearful hearts of those who are so terrified that they feel the need to protest our country and to touch those terrified hearts and give them peace.
We need to accept them as Jesus has accepted us! We need to love them unconditionally as Jesus has loved us. And pray, pray, pray for them to find peace in their hearts to replace the fear.
Jesus wants us to love, not hate! Let's all send all the love we can muster to those who fear. Only love can heal this country!
