We had some major storms last night. Poor Chloe was a mess, shivvering and quivvering and trying to claw her way into my skin. She truly has major anxiety when she hears thunder.
While lying there in bed hanging onto her I was imagining my Mardi Gras and Valentine decor that I had taped on the outside of the door frame. I just knew the rain and wind were doing a number on it, expecting to find it in pieces laying all over the yard or neighborhood.
Imagine my surprise when I found it lying on the steps pretty much intact. Took it down and brought it in for now.
Temps are already very cold. Feels like 35 downtown they say and that is me! Not enough sunshine to warm up the porch, so I have to keep that door closed also and have the fireplace going. My new sweat shirt is very warm. Shoulda looked for sweat pants also, mine are so thin!
I'm so grateful that we had good weather while Sandy was here. She said she had sprinkles on the way home but nothing major and I thank God for that also. I know she had to be at the rec center this am to decorate for the dance tonight! I'm so glad she has found a place where she can do so much. She was so bored in Bama.
I need to make a trip to the store today and not looking forward to it.
