Forecasting major rain this afternoon, possibly damaging winds. Not everywhere and hopefully not near me! Temps will stay above freezing thank God. Not wanting frozen stairs again.
The North of our country is being slammed by this same storm system. From what the tv is showing it looks deadly! I just do not understand why people think they need to get out in it? As my son always says, "If I died they certainly would not close the doors of the store!" I'm grateful he feels that way as I know he'll stay safe.
I'm so glad my friend Linda Jones, across the street, has gotten hooked on Outlander! She was over last night again and we watched 3 more in the first season of the show. I've watched it all and have gone back to reading the books to find the differences. So far the differences I've found between the books and the videos have only enhanced the story. I enjoy the short interviews with the producers and writers after each segment. They explain why they made the changes they did. They also tell us about some of the difficulties in filming, and show some of the fun they have.
I'm totally enthralled by this story.
My only complaint about both the books and the tv series is that there is one disastrous event after another. When I first read the books I could not put them down! I was totally consumed by the story and the events. Now that I know what is coming and how it will pan out, I am not as addicted, but still consumed by it.
Not planning on doing much today, or this week.
My little girl turns 9 on Wednesday! Our day! I am making her a little gift. Next year she'll be double digits! WOW!
