Wow... no movies in theaters for a long time and then 2 back to back!! Today I took my dear friend Paula Bankester to the base theater to see Heaven is For Real! What a GREAT movie!! If you read the book or not you will like this movie.. But still read the book also.. Sure makes ya think!
Except for a slight tummy ache and having to leave the movie to run for the potty, and again when I got home, I had a great afternoon! Thank you Paula for going with me!!
Now the Reds are ahead 3 to zip! Billy has 24 stolen bases they say!! WAHOO!!another beautiful sunny day in Paradise! Must definitely get to the pool today, even though I have a couple things to do first. Need to get my shot and pick up meds....... and hopefully I will get out of here early today!!
Very sad game last night! In the 3rd inning the Wahoos gave up 3 runs which lead to their demise.... felt so sorry for our dear pitcher.... after a 3 to zip beginning, the Blue Wahoos lost 5 to 3 to the Bay Bears... I pray they can shake it off and come back strong........ GO WAHOOS!
I pray you all have an amazing day, filled with many blessings!! Yesterday was so full of blessings for me! The Blue Angels flying right over my house, so low! All 6 of them...... OMG I was screaming! Of course no one could hear me! LOL Then that beautiful movie with my dear friend Paula Bankester whom I see at almost every ballgame, but not to spend time with! What a treat! And last night, even though the Wahoos lost, the Reds won and wore their cammo jerseys and hats! Billy Hamilton played well and is hitting the ball so much better, stole a couple bases also! DOH!
Fell asleep nicely and must have slept well as I remember dreaming, but not of what, except somehow I had a little girl in my care and another little girl came to play as did 2 little boys who were black! That was a tad weird, and weird that I remember that part! I also remember getting permission from parents for the boys to come play.. they were all around five or six years old I think. We had a lovely time ..... very weird that I remember all that.........
My father was the best! He was always supportive of me no matter what! No matter how my mother felt about me, my father always helped me through the pain. He was taken from me at the age of 48! Died a horrible death of cancer way before all the new methods of treating it. I miss my Daddy every day........ but I know he still loves me and supports me..
Wow, hitting the pool later in the day proves that I'm a morning person! LOL I got there around 11:30 and after skimming the leaves and most of the bugs I started my workout at 12:05. I know I pushed it a bit, but still was only able to get 30 laps in. But did them in 20 minutes! then 10 minutes of other exercise and I was really pooped. After running around all morning.. had to get my B12 shot, stopped at the hair salon to let them know i won't be seeing them for a few months and left the forms in case they want to sponsor me... did that at the docs too! Then home to empty the car and go potty, off to the base pharmacy to pick up meds and was pleasantly surprised that they had the two refills I was told wouldn't be there until Monday!! Saves me a trip.
Then got my baby cleaned and washed!! Poor little red car... was so filthy. Still need to do something about the headlights.. I heard that toothpaste will clear them up again... don't use it so must buy some.
The sun was only on half the pool so I didn't get too much this time! Tomorrow I need to go early as it is supposed to rain in the afternoon.... just in time for our trip to Mobile for a ballgame....... grrrrrr...
I had to take a pic of my favorite tree today while in the pool.. This tree grows in the yard of the first house we lived in here in P'Cola.. 5 Keys Ct. Even when we moved next door to 6 Keys, I would sit on the porch and just look at this gnarly water Oak and the one growing next door for hours... so many twists and turns... I wonder what caused it to grow that way. When it rained the sound of the rain on the leaves was so soothing... Now you can see the tops of the trees on that block, but before hurricane Ivan you could barely see the sky.... then God took his 'weedwhacker' and cut them all about 30 foot up, so some of the 'branches' that came down, like the one on our roof, were up to 20 feet long! I do miss that neighborhood, but not my house!
On my travels around town this am I noticed people at a couple of bus stops were waiting in the heat of the sun, with parcels and canes, trying to stand there and wait! I was Praising God that I have a vehicle to drive when I need to get around! I don't think I could stand in the hot sun, leaning on a post and a cane waiting for a bus... And SO grateful that I don't have to... I am so blessed....
