HAPPY FAT TUESDAY!! Eat, Drink and be Merry for tomorrow we begin the season of Lent!! When we sacrifice to remind ourselves the great sacrifice our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ made for us! for our salvation! How amazing God is to love us so much!! And we do nothing to deserve that love, NOTHING! Our only requirement is to accept it and TRY to live as Jesus taught us by His life! If we truly accept Jesus in our hearts we WILL want to live as He taught us through His word!!
Okay, enough preaching!!
Just got a call from my favorite banker and he IS going to help me with a couple car payments! I feel sooooooo blessed!! I'm still in the hole but not as deep, eh? and hopefully he can get my car payments lowered...
God is soooo good to me!
By the way..... during the period of Lent a lot of people will choose something to do without for the 40 days... candy, gum, etc. It always SHOULD be something you will miss, something that you might reach for and when you remember you have 'given it up' for Lent, it reminds you of why, to remember Jesus' sacrifice. BUT did you know you can also 'take on' something instead? You can take on an exercise program, even going for a walk, volunteering somewhere, etc. So the 'sacrifice' can be your time to do something good!
even with the heat on I'm chilled again!! still in the mid 30s outside! GAWD will spring never get here??? WE turn the clocks ahead next week and that will help now if we could only turn the heat ahead!! lol I'm SO ready for warm, the pool, baseball....... c'mon summer!!!
eyes have been itching terribly...... must be dry in the house! Maybe that has something to do with this niggling headache? Going to crank up the potpourrie pot on the stove and get some moisture in here, even though it's not dry outside.. I hope it will help, I know it will make the house smell good... lemons, cinnamon, vanilla... almost smells good enough to drink! lol
I think I shall go into the kitchen and check my meager supplies and create the best cold weather soup possible!!! That will cheer me up and hopefully make me warm....
found some almost unidentifiable stuff that truly resembles a ham bone and some slices of ham, a bag of field peas with snaps, a bag of frozen assorted veggies for stir fry, with a package of unknown brand chicken noodle soup, and found several packages of enchilada sauce... boy it smells good! lol now to wait until it cooks.. it better be great as I have a huge kettle full! ROFL no matter what I'll eat it anyway, would never waste it...
hahahaha turns out the pieces of ham are really turkey!! So will be a turkhamchick vegetable kinda soup with a real kick from the spices!!
having a bowl of soup for lunch and it is pretty good!! Even with the wierd combinations.... God is so good to bless me with good food..
