Off in a few for the bank, then car dealers, then to buy dog food! God blessed me with a refund check yest which will pay for the dog supplies!! WAHOO!! I am so blessed. Also collected another 10 for St. Baldrick's last night bringing my total up to nearly 80 bux!! only 120 to go for donation of $1,000!!!! My goal now....
Sitting at car dealers Got here early as bank wasn't open yet Hope it's not a long wait as I forgot to eat! YIKES!
OH MY GOD!! I am soooooooo blessed!
The bank wasn't open yet when I left so I went to the car dealer service dept early. Waited about 1 1/2 hours thinking I would have to come back, as I was told the first visit is an inspection then order parts, etc. etc. WELL, they had MY part in stock! Replaced it and don't have to go back!! WAHOO!!
While I was sitting there a woman came in with HER St. Baldrick's tshirt on! I had mine on and we struck up a conversation. She was a 'clipper' but outside the stadium. She said they were expecting 120 but didn't know how many actually were clipped. Beautiful lady inside and out. Her niece has chemo monthly for a rare disease that could become cancer! YIKES!! So pray for little Molly. I was telling her that I am still collecting donations, at least until my hair grows back. I always carry my little envelope with the sign "Can you spare $1?". The man next to me put some money in it and the woman I was visiting with did also... all in all i got another $11, which brings my total after the clipping up to $77! That should bring me to $900 so only $100 more to hit $1,000!!! WAHOO!!
I didn't make the bank so I had to use a CC for the dog food, however it was still on sale!! $5.99 a bag! AND the tiny treats were still on sale!! I got 3 bags of food to stock up and another bag of treats although I have about half a bag left. They don't get but one or two tiny pieces at a time! LOL Because of the heat I put 2 of the bags in the freezer! Can't hurt huh? I was only a couple miles from the Tractor Supply when at the car dealer... nice huh?
I turned the corner on my street and started blessing God and blessing Gail!! My entire lawn was mowed!! The stickers were already about 2 foot high! Not good for me or the dogs! She had weed whacked around my back door the other day too. Nice neighbor! Gail is younger than I and I'm younger than the landlord, so it's a double blessing when she does it, using his riding mower. I went out and watered the plants, not sure if I've saved the lettuce or peppers, they got pretty bad yesterday before I had watered them. The other stuff is looking good. I think some birds have found the new feeder as I found a lot of seed on the plant stand and some in the plants. Had to pick some not quite ripe tomatoes as someone had been nibbling on one... I just cut that part off! lol I REALLY need to get out there and do some stuff... but it's so hot! Even early in the morning.
So many blessings already today! I will try and go to the pool this afternoon, even though it will be sunny... I need to do that! And baseball tonight!!
I nixed going to the pool today! Too darn hot right now and also too late... Can't get a worthwhile workout in and then get ready for ballgame in just 3 hours! SO, maybe tomorrow? Have to check my calendar....
I love living in the south... I can say 'fixin' to leave for the stadium in 20 minutes!! hehehe Very hot out, 88 right now but heat index much higher! bought a sno cone last night and it really helped cool me off....... also drinking unsweet tea with lemon keeps me cool also. But yelling, screaming, jumping up and down and of course dancing doesn't help keep me cool but it's imperative to MY baseball experience!
Tickles me when people around me WANT to sit there!! Love Gerald Kirby andDarlene Scofield Kirby...
