Been a long time since I've posted here. One and a half years ago our family was blessed to welcome the littlest and sweetest guy ever! He desperately needed a home and I truly didn't need another dog, but couldn't refuse him. Also I know that Mr. T is not going to be around forever. God bless him I know some days he really suffers but we keep plugging on. At one time last fall I had to carry him out and back in. For several months he's been doing it himself but still needs the 'elevator' to get on the bed and couch. His back issue, like mine, isn't getting any better eh?
CBD oil helps with his pain, I can see it when he moves around. Still has a crooked back. Trying to keep him flea free but the bugs in the yard are relentless.
Back to little Buddy, my little Baby Yoda!
I was told he was 10 yrs old a year ago last Christmas when my angel Eva Johns brought him to me. She's known all along my bucket list included a tea cup chihauhau as tiny as her adorable JOJO. Buddy's not teacup but close enough for me. And those ears that make him look like Yoda tops the cake.
Little Buddy's previous owner was forced to give up his 3 dogs to live in assisted living or nursing home not sure which. Anyway this little guy was SO stressed and anxious!! For about six months I dealt with major diarrheah, vomiting, trying to get out and find his way home... was so sad to see. One night he snuck out the partially open gate when I was putting the trash out to the street. It was pretty dark and he's so small.. he ran right into the street, across to Linda's house, around in circles on the street, thank You, Jesus, no traffic until a wonderful woman saw my blight and stopped her car. With her headlights on it was easier to see him. He finally lay down in the middle of the street exhausted. I picked him up, thanked her profusely and haven't had an incident since. He still has some separation anxiety but doesn't try to find a way out of the yard anymore and mostly comes when he's called. Such a good, sweet boy. He now knows he's loved right where he is. The other 2 intimidate him at times, but mostly they 'hang out' well. He's fit right in to our schedule and except for the barking and howling when I leave the house, he's taken up the job of guarding mommy along side the other two. SO blessed am I.
PS he now has Tequila howling with him when I leave!! WHAT??
Dearest Miss Chloe is much the same, a LOT grayer all over her body now and Eva has shown me a pic of Chloe's sun Bennie as he is getting very gray all over too.
Chloe is the photo in the dictionary under P(ain)I(n)T(he)A(ss) so when I call her Pita it 's not the bread I'm referring to eh? She mainly misbehaves and makes messes!! The other night I got up to check as she wasn't in bed and found her picking up the dry food nibbles and placing them in a hideaway cubby? WHAT?? So now I pick up the dry food at night. When I left the other day for the base and medications, both boys on the couch howling and her highness in the bedroom destroying the bed, dragging pillows to the floor, etc. She used to do this mainly during TStorms, she hates them and fireworks, as does Buddy, but now I'm finding a mess when I have to leave. She also jumps up on the futon and pulls the blanket down from the back of i t. She destroyed the bottom of the blinds ages ago. She's been a challenge these past few years but such a sweetie, my kissy face girl! She hangs with Buddy out doors but can intimidate him when he wants up on the couch or bed when she's laying there letting him know she's the boss.
Every morning when we get up I welcome them to the day and ALWAYS thank Jesus for giving us another day together!!
