Even though they have a designated place to potty in the house, especially for those rainy days, very cold days, and at night, I'm so proud that Rennie now tells me when she has to go out, he almost always did, and that I LISTEN to them and put them out more often!! We are working this out together...... not only old dogs but old women CAN learn new tricks!!
OHHHHH I have a happy little boy! and he has a happy mommy!! Went out the front with da botta dem and while I was getting the trash can in, drawing water for my plants, etc. etc. he went trotting off to the back yard to check on any new smells in the past hour or so! lol So instead of calling him back when I came inside I just let him go, got some stuff done and then called him in and he came!! So just a few minutes ago he was harrassing me to go out and I just opened the door for them both, didn't put him on his lead.... he went charging of to the bushes that needed watering! Again I came in and when I did look outside she wasn't visible but he was out there and came in with me. Renniew, of course, didn't see me at the back door so went to the front! lol I never worry about her going out of the yard, unless the gate is open then I've seen her heading for it.. But since the first day or so when I had left him to his own devices and he snuck out the fence, I've been so worried about losing him. He's a bit bigger now, not as easily able to get through small spaces. So I will let him out without the lead, except at night when I cannot see him.
