Hey guys, I don't want to be morbid, but I have been thinking about what I want you all to do when I die!
First of all I am prepaid to be creamated, through Dignity. I'm going to make up a file so you all will know what to do.
A part of my ashes are to go to the Blue Wahoos and they will put them at home plate at one of the games.... I think that is so cool!
I have a pill bottle with a bit of Oscar's ashes and I want some of mine to go in there with his, shake it up, and would be nice to toss them over the Gulf, maybe in Port A? We did spend the beginnings of our relationship there.
The rest will be poured into my bourbon bottle and placed in the crypt with Oscar's at Barrancas National Cemetery on base at NAS. That is such an honor for me... the details will be in the folder.
Now, I want a celebration!! A party if you wish. It would be nice to have a memorial service at Westminster Presbyterian Church and if possible have Ted Chumley, George Kessler and Lori Prettyman officiate.. the scriptures, poems and music will be in the folder. IF Karen Kessler is available to play the piano it woudl be amazing! She played my uncle's music, "Loving Dove Waltz" at Oscar's service and I would so love it at mine too.
I will be writing a bio and the only expense will be to put it in the newspapers.. Pensacola News Journal, Corpus Christi Caller-Times, Port Aransas South Jetty, and the Brookfield, Il paper. I know that will be expensive and I'm sorry. Since the funeral is paid for the soc sec money should help here. I will have a couple pics in the folder also.
As for my 'belongings' I think Sandy knows what is mine and what belongs to the Daniels. If you don't want it, don't sell it unless you have to, leave it for them to rent or sell with the house. My desk top computer I want Amy to have. As well as any thumb drives which contain photos and writings, etc. to be shared. IF she wants it.
I hope Dan will take this laptop as it should have a few good years left. The tablet can go to Carleen.
Sandy knows what will be worth anything and what isn't. PLEASE give a lot of it to the United Way for distribution to those who have been hit by storms, etc.
Please try to give most of it to where it will do the most good. Not just toss it out. I have a huge collection of Christian Romance books that might go to a church library? Also Bible study books.
My main purpose in life has been to help others and I hope I can do that also in death.
