IThere is so much about me that you don't know. I have been neglectful to post more here.
Watching the Olympics last night I realized that no one alive, except my sister maybe and I'm not sure she does, knows that I used to skate dance. When I was in high school my great passions were dancing and roller skating. I spent many, many hours at the rink. I was GOOD! After the guys taught me to skate dance, I never sat one out. During every skating session they would get everyone off the rink and only pairs would skate the pattern.
Ice dancing is so much like it!
You skate around the rink in an eight shapt oval, making turns and changing directions, like real dancing but on skates. After I had learned how, every time they had a skate dance, someone would come and ask me to skate! It was so much fun. I had my own Chicago professional skates, which followed me here to P'Cola but I've lost them now, as I did my bowling ball. The skates were too old to be useful anyway. They were a gift, after much begging, from my parents. Oh how I loved those skates and kept them in good condition.
The last time I remember wearing them was either when I paid for a birthday party for Tifani at the rink, or at the Port Aransas parade when I skated the whole way! I think the rink though as I remember tar coming off my wheels at the rink! UGH
While watching the ice dancing, my feet were moving slightly with the steps they were doing! WOW a body memory.
